Claire: You were looking at Whirlwind with the same eyes that Prism looked at me with when we were younger.

Claire: chuckles He never told you? Eh, I suppose he wouldn't. He used to have a crush on me when he was a little younger than you.

Icy: W-well, that doesn't mean anything

Claire: Sure it does. It means that you like Whirlwind correct?

Icy: So what if I do? She's pretty and nice and really cool

Icy: But she doesn't notice me at all. I don't get what she sees in Prism.

Claire: Darling, the two of them are broken up

Icy: Doesn't seem like it. I just don't understand. He broke her heart and put her through so much

Claire: Just because a boy and a girl spend time together doesn't make them a couple. Prism and Whirlwind are one of the few lucky people who remained friends and didn't let their breakup put a damper on their relationship.

Icy: Well, she and I are friends but she doesn't spend as much time with me

Claire: Well

Icy: It's probably because I'm too young.

Claire: You're not TOOOOO young

Icy: Yeah I am. And girls never go for younger guys

Claire: Oh, that's not true

Icy: You didn't go out with Prism

Claire: Well, no but that was because by the time I found out, I was already with my boyfriend.

Icy: Still. It's true.

Claire: Ugh, this feels weird to talk about but do you know my parents?

Icy: Yeah.

Claire: Do you know how old they are?

Icy: ……….No

Claire: Well, I don't think my mother would appreciate me giving out her age, but I can tell you that my father is quuuuite a bit younger than her.

Icy: Really?

Claire: Mmhm. The age difference between them is probably bigger than the one between you and Whirlwind.

Icy: H-how'd he win her heart?

Claire: To be honest, it did take many years.

Icy: It did?

Claire: Mmhm. I'll admit, it's quite true that women don't tend to look at men much younger than them.

Icy: groans

Claire: But my father remained devoted to her until he became an appropriate age. Once they were both mature, they kinda realized that they had something. I guess that happens because usually with age difference comes different mentalities and different interests.

Icy: But we have the same interests! And I'm mature

Claire: I don't doubt that. You certainly seem much more mature than your brother

Icy: See?

Claire: But, Whirlwind isn't necessarily…. mature herself. Your maturity levels are far past theirs and she probably just sees that as innocence

Icy: ……… Then what do they talk about that's so immature?

Claire: Aaaaaaaand that's the problem. You aren't quite old enough to understand some…… things. Prism and Whirlwind can talk to each other about anything since they're on the same level. You two… aren't quite there yet. There are just some things that she probably couldn't say around you since you either haven't heard about it, learned about it or experienced it.

Icy: But you just said I was more mature than both of them

Claire: Yes but there are some things that come with age no matter how mature you are

Icy: I guess…………

Claire: Hey, relax. You're too young to be thinking about relationships. Live a little. Enjoy your childhood. Before you know it, you'll be a boring old adult like me.

Icy: But Claire, I really like her.

Claire: Then you'll wait. And who knows, maybe you'll find someone else you like as you get older. Same happened with your brother

Icy: ?

Claire: He didn't think of Whirlwind as more than a friend when he still had a crush on me. But he moved on and grew to like the girl he was friends with for so long. I understand that you are quite close to my cousin and all her other little friends. Who knows, maybe they'll become someone you'll love as they mature.

Icy: Hm. I guess so. Thanks for the advice Claire

Claire: No problem

Icy: Promise you won't tell anyone about this?

Claire: You have my word

Icy: Thanks. That'd be really embarrassing if anyone knew….. Well. Now I'm gonna go make fun of Prism and his crush on you. See you later
