*This plush is FOR SALE! Please note me if you are interested in buying her. Her price will be similar to those listed for mares in my Pony Price List

Okay! So, here is my first legit pony with my new mare pattern. I did a bunch of testing (with cheaper, off-brand minky) before making this Rarity, but the Shannon Minky stretches slightly differently, so now I have to make a few more changes. :P Overall, I'm ecstatic with how she turned out! The greatest motivation in completely redoing my mare pattern was to finally get a head that looked really good from the front, and with which I would be able to play with more dynamic expressions. I think I succeeded there! I still have to play a bit with eye positioning and size, but I'm very happy with it so far.

Rarity here is 15.5" tall to the top of her head (a fair bit larger than my previous pattern, and that's one of my concerns — I think I will have to scale the new pattern down a little bit, since my previous pattern which was slightly smaller and lighter was right on the edge of the shipping requirements before I'd have to upgrade to a more expensive shipping option). She is made with Snow White, Purple and Mauve minky. I tried something new with her mane and tail, which I really like. Her mane and tail are very lightly wired for posability. She also has 3D faux suede eyelashes.

I've changed the proportions a fair amount — I've moved away from my typical skinny proportions, particularly around the hips and belly, since I started to feel that I was making my ponies too slender. The head is also a lot larger, proportionally (more show accurate, in terms of size). I'm still not sure how I feel about that, but I think I'll get used to it eventually, and it is cuter :D I also think I'm a little too close to show-accurate for my liking at this point (I do like to have my own style), so most of the changes I'm going to make from this point are going to be pulling it back a little from show-accuracy.

As far as specific changes to make, they will be:
— a slight shortening and reshaping of the snout — this is one of those things that turned out perfectly in my pattern test, and then changed quite a bit when I did it in Shannon minky.
— slight reshaping of the belly near the hips — mostly to make the pattern work better when sewing it together.
— lengthen and slim the neck a little.
— shrink the pattern slightly so that you guys don't have to pay extra shipping.

I'd love to hear any constructive feedback that you have! This will be replacing my old mare pattern — I'm not sure exactly when. Depending on response I may continue to offer both my new one and old one for a bit. I'll also be updating the heads of some of my other patterns (filly, laying, sitting) based on what I learned here.
