There's just not enough stuff about Zecora. For some reason the fandom is all wrapped up into the super secret origins of the princesses and villains but not the zebra who is honestly more mysterious than Princess Celestia. I gave her a compliacted, tragic backstory (of course) and made her the daughter of the chief and shaman for an elite herd of zebras.
Africa's got a lot of great mythology it'd be great to utilize some of it with Zecora. Also I think the rhyming thing is the thing of shamans, not necceserily Zebra culture. They do, however have a different language than ponies which if I wrote into a story would probably be translated.
