Mmiri Omi (M-mearie Oh-my.)

Yet another Antelope character that sprang from my consciousness.
This time a character that embodies my silliness, randomness, funniness and energy.

Her name is Igbo and Yoruba for the word "Spring."
Seems fitting enough since she is a Springbok and she springs all over the place, pronking much like Pinkie Pie does!
She is actually much like her in many ways.

Mmiri is, for the most part, merry and the kind of Antelope you can't be upset around. Full of energy and positivity, you'll never have a dull day hanging out with Mmiri. If it's either pronking around or hanging out with her friends, she is always wearing a smile!
Though when no one is around have fun with, she gets quite lonely.
But luckily, her friends look forward to spending time with her, for she has this crazy ability to make everyone smile and laugh……even when she least expects or doesn't realize it. Quite a talent right there!

She is rather on the small side compared to other antelopes, but she's got a big heart. She cares deeply about everyone she knows.
Even her horns form a heart above her head!

If you would like to know more about Springboks, I've put some facts down over here.

The Springbok is among several bovids that "Stott or "Pronk" — leap stiff-legged, high and repeatedly, as if bouncing. Some can leap as far as 13 feet!
This behavior may serve to deter predators. The adaptable herbivore is highly sociable, but migratory herds, once millions-strong, now number only 1,500. Breeding habits are as for other gazelle species.
They have a pocket-like skin flap that runs from the middle of their back to their tail. When they are excited or frightened they can lift this flap which makes the white hairs underneath stand up in a conspicuous crest that acts as a warning to other Springbok.
Springbok have ringed, curved, black horns that are present in both males and females. They can reach lengths of 19 inches in males, but females have shorter, thinner horns.
