He's the son of King Sombra and Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn that will develop a talent delving into the properties of magic and alchemy. Although he's the heir to the throne, one may say he doesn't seem to be the type that wants to rule.

Nightweaver has a special bond with his twin sister, and are often seen together getting into mischief, or finishing each other's sentences.
