And now time for Celestia and Luna's mother, Queen Chernalia, from my upcoming fanfiction project, "Age of the Alicorns: Chaos Rising".

Below is a brief description of the character:

_Queen Chernalia is the first Alicornian queen of Equestria. Before becoming queen though, she started out as a young mare with the power to raise the moon for the night. No alicorn had ever controlled the moon as well as she did, so she took on the responsibility with great ease. After becoming a member of the parliament, she met her future husband, King Solmidas, which earned her the place of queen. For years she and her husband ruled Equestria with much love for their people. Eventually, she bore two children, Celestia and Luna.

Chernalia has always been one of the most gentle of alicorns and always willing to help her people no matter what the cost. Now that she is a queen, she takes not only on the responsibility of controlling the moon, but also helping out her people, both rich and poor. Besides her political duties, she spends much time with the residents of the castle town and gets involved with affairs outside the palace. Like her husband, she too wishes to see her two daughters rule Equestria one day in their place._

And that is Queen Chernalia. I'm also very happy with how she turned out. I was having a hard time with deciding on colors. I started making her hair lighter than her body but she ended up looking too similar to Luna so I went with this design. The shoes, crown, and chestplate were going to be black, but that would have been too similar to Luna also so I went with just silvery blue. And of course I had to add some sparkles to her hair to make it like the night sky as well as the outline blur. I know Luna has those things too, but it ended up being different enough. She also has a different cutie mark which I made all by myself.

Fun fact: Her name is a variation of the word 'chern' which I believe is a Slavic word for 'black' or 'dark' or something.
