While the other guests of the house are thinking of themselves, Puzzle Piece is worried about the fate of Equestria. He has seen ponies being devoured in front of his very eyes, and is the Master's personal play thing. He talks about "the maze" where the necromancer sticks innocent ponies in a labyrinth full of zombies, and watches them scramble for her amusement. He has escaped the maze a couple times, due to his quick thinking, but he can only keep going for so long. Despite the fact that food is provided in the "party room", all of it is fattening and sugary, and none of it is nutritious. So, he prefers to starve himself to be able to not have any excess fat weigh him down, even at the cost of energy. That, and the constant sight of zombies sinking their teeth into other ponies has a way of making one lose their appetite.
