The newly constructed fast-response airship, Skyshark, has a multi-species crew consisting of ponies, griffins, and changelings. In particular, the Red Changelings are strongly represented in the Equestrian military, and Kerbarok was given the command of their most advanced airship. Kerbarok had earned a lot of experience and rank while in the guise of a unicorn, but was promoted to captain on the proviso that he commands in his natural form. Because the crew was picked specifically for their ability to get along well with other species, this requirement was not a problem for Kerbarok, and his crew respects him greatly.
