Below is the context for the pastebin…
">inb4 the story turns grim as the mane6 and everyone involved with them work to break anon of his normal personality because they're sick of him even if they're just being whiny bitches and we see the horrible battle of psychological torment in Anon's head as he just wants the pain and misery to end from being looked down on, treated poorly, overly strict rules, being spanked or even beaten for poor behavior and watching if he can survive until he escapes or he will be broken into the perfect little colt/filly for everypony."
"The ending with him being broken into the perfect child in this case would technically fall under death of personality.
Completely losing who he is would be taking it too far, even for Twilight. All that would remain would be a blank cookie-cutter personality, incapable of making any unimprinted decisions.
With the equality episode it becomes extremely apparent how important a wide variety of character is, and anon becoming the perfect little colt/filly for everyone, he'd be little more than the equivalent of one of the mind broken equalized ponies. Capable of functioning, but little more than that.
I don't think Twilight could bare having caused something like that to happen after that fight with Glimmer."
"Couldn't that be a plot point?
Like their desire to 'fix' anons attitude they go too far causin more harm than good, the moral could be yes some people are assholes and maybe the best would be to let them fix themsves."
"Up to a certain point yes. However once a person has truly been broken in such a way it's nearly impossible to turn them back to who they once were.
At this point the brain is now wired to reject the various portions of that for my personality as negatives and any attempt to turn him back into anything resembling the old and on would just cause more psychological trauma.
So yes it could be used as a good plot point. Unfortunately once it gets to that point there really is not a happy ending. It would likely end with them raising him / her with a constant reminder that they went too far instead instead of allowing him to fix himself. Likely having to keep constant tabs on him in case the mind breaks further."
