The fact that Nightmare Moon is no longer associated with Nightmare Night is probably the reason for this. Historians continue to disagree whether or not Nightmare Moon was a part of Equestrian history or Equestrian legend, and the immortals have proven less than helpful when trying to clear this matter up.
