applejack was visiting the graves of her great grandparents and was imagining what they were like when a glowing, bright orange stone manifested itself in front of her, she could hear their voices through the stone, and she decided to keep the stone, she had no idea what it was or why it presented itself to her but the soul stone was hers that day, she kept it so she could hear the voices of family members that had passed on… little did she know that it contained an incredible power to change ponies souls entirely, a pony she showed the stone to was affected and just wasn't the same afterwards… as if they forgot who they were… the stone had altered them, changed their personality, preferences EVERYTHING about who they were aside from physical appearance
