The first designated bomber/attacker developed entirely by R&G Manufacturing, the XB/A-1 Valkyrie sports an impressive punch for such a nimble aircraft. Mounting a pair of Ministry of Wartime Technology 40mm Bofors autocannons in the cheeks, pilot controlled, as well as a pair of remotely-operated and computer-assisted turrets with twin synchronized tesla cannons, being anywhere near this thing and not designated friendly is a very fast way to develop a distinct case of existence failure. Able to tote around four one-ton 'Little Filly' Self-contained optionally-rocket-boosted Megaspells of 500 tons yield gives it a nasty punch from on high as well, with a specially configured bombsight and targeting computer for precise level, dive, laydown, and toss bombing. With four R&G Olympus hydrogen turbine engines, the Valkyrie can easily reach speeds in excess of twice the speed of sound at low altitude, and has more than enough thrust to fly in the vertical if needed. Not that it has to only do it from the horizontal, with a shortened Olympus turbine providing thrust just aft of the upper turret to allow for some interesting maneuvers in flight, or flat-out hovering and vertical take-off! Readily willing and able to strike fear into Gryphons in the Foalland Islands or bring the fight to the zebra Caesar himself, the Valkyrie is truly a pinnacle of Equestrian fixed-wing jet technology. Perhaps the only downside to her is due to her engines' little interesting habit — for reasons known to only the designers of the Valkyrie themselves, this metal bird loves to howl. Suppose it's to let those stripes know they're about to be in a world of pain!
