Octavia Melody is a cellist who hails from the big city of Manehattan. She has a passion for her instrument and has been playing the Cello since her youth. She had earned a name for herself by the time she was a teenager. When she reached adulthood, Octavia decided that the big city life was getting a bit too hectic for her, so she made the decision to move out to a quiet village between the major capitals of the Solar and Lunar Kingdoms. Ponyville seemed like the perfect place to live to keep her sanity between gigs in both cities. She often catches the Luna’s Wings when she has a show to do in the cities.


One of her gigs was during a certain wedding that was overrun with Changelings. Octavia was caught in the crossfire with no way to defend herself. Even some her bandmates were changelings (which was impressive since instruments take time to learn). The invasion was short-lived, but it left quite the impression on her. Shortly after Canterlot was rid of the threat, Octavia took it upon herself to learn self defense. She was quickly drawn into a group of warriors recruiting.


The Templars are a circle of warriors that worship Celestia and use that faith to power some unusual magicks and themselves. Octavia wasn’t one for faith, and while it lead to her butting heads with her teachers, she successfully learned the ways of the Templar and the lance. The lance, she concluded, weighed about as much as her Cello, so it felt nice to her.


Despite learning the lance, she never really had a chance to use what she gained. However, she never really felt bad about it since it was a problem you would want to have. Her peaceful days came to an end ironically during another wedding. She was called into action due to being one of the few citizens with combat training while the Warriors were out. A certain bug like animal came from the Everfree and was terrorizing the town. Octavia was able to fend off the bug successfully, but failed to defeat it completely. The Warriors caught wind of her efforts, and the Darkness side asked for her assistance. With their help, the bugbear was vanquished, and she became another one of the ponies that the Warriors could call if needed.


Cello Lance — A lance with a palette and feel of a Cello. After connecting with the warriors, she was able to get Twilight’s blacksmith friend to forge he a weapon, and this is the result. The most important thing she wanted was to be the same weight as her actual Cello. What this resulted in is that her Lance is slightly fragile, but Octavia as remarkable control over her weapon.


Templar Armor — Armor given to her by the templars. The metal used is the same material as Princess Celestia’s armor as a sign of their faith. Octavia doesn’t get a chance to wear it often, but will do so on her travels. After a certain meeting with Celestia herself, it was the first set in decades to actually get bless by the Princess herself.
