- Charity is the second born twin of Fancy Pants and Rarity. At an early age, Charity was a very curious filly, and often got into trouble. Her twin sister, Clarity, was there to stop her before she hurt herself though when their parents weren't around. Charity liked playing outside and often tried to encourage Clarity to play with her; to no avail.. seeing as Clarity didn't like playing in the grass since she got a grass stain on her coat last time.

- When their parents divorced, Charity composed herself and was there to comfort her distraught sister. Charity understood their break up at an early age, so their split was a little easier on her than it was for Clarity.

- When Rarity remarried their new step-father Spike, and soon became pregnant again with her third child; Charity welcomed this change. She liked Spike, and knew he was always meant to be with her mother. Clarity took some time to come around.

- When her little brother, Tanzanite, was born, Charity took to him immediately. Finally, she had another sibling to play with; and one who would actually play with her. She loved her little brother and nurtured him like she was a second mother instead of a sister. Sometimes she wouldn't even hand him back over to Rarity.

- When she got older, Spike taught Charity how to farm gems to help Clarity and her mother. This gave Charity an idea for a birthday gift for her little brother, and began growing a fire ruby for him.. Which in turn led to her cutie mark for her kindness and gem farming/harvesting.

- Living up to her name, Charity was very generous (following after her mother). Charity would participate in charities, fund raisers and volunteer at shelters and homes. She even grew out her own mane just to cut it off and donate it to "Locks of Life". (yes, reference to "Locks of Love", just didn't want to use the real name) Which is why Charity is often seen with a short mane now.

- Charity's first love interest was a stallion by the name of Charleston, (son of Frederick Horseshoepin and Octavia), a young musician pony that she saw performing in Ponyville Square. Despite her shyness, her sister and friends helped convince her to go on a date with him; Which sparked an interest in Charleston too. They are not dating exactly yet, but they are taking things slow.

- Following her passion of nurturing and giving, Charity began down a path to becoming a nurse. She knew she wanted to take care of others, to help others, and use her strengths for good. So with the help of Nurse Redheart, Charity was able to acheive her dream and become a nurse in the Ponyville Hospital. Her favorite patients are foals; she loves making them laugh while they're waiting for the doctor.
You can guarentee that if a foal met Charity, they'd be leaving with a smile on their face and a lollipop in their hooves.
