Whether it be in the sun scorched mesas of Granite Gulch, or in the mist shrouded woodlands of the Unicorn Range, there’s fewer more fearsome sights than a section of Company Cavalry baring down on their foe.
Carrying a carbine version of the standard Cantertan Laslock these rough and tumble troops specialize in breaking enemy formations, recon, moving through terrain normally to congested for the Canterlean rifle sections to fight effectively within and attacking from unexpected quarters. Cav troopers, much like their ranger counterparts are expected to be able to operate independently from their main force and survive without resupply for extended periods of time.
In times of peace they function, again like their ranger counterparts, as road wardens patrolling the Equestrian wilds to keep the trails clear of bandits, outlaws, and other problems for the wayward traveler.
Truth of the matter is I wanted a good reason to draw Lamplight in uniform.
