As soon as the coast is clear, Kekere moves out from behind the bush she was hiding behind for the past several pages. She then thinks to herself how exciting it is for Sabe to finally be in a relationship of any sort. She then literally thanks the shrub she was hiding behind as she continues her following of the pair of Sables, over the hills of the vast Savanna.
As you can already guess, Kekere has known Sabe for a while back near his rock, where he keeps an eye on everyone else including her. So she has sort of become an acquaintance to him over time along with all the other critters. Sabe still needs to inform Uganda of this, but we'll get to that eventually.
Notice how the large bush in the foreground is sort of shaped like a chromosome…. that was unintended, but looks good non the less! Also you can see how far Sabe and Uganda have traveled across the plains since departing from Sabe's rock. Antelopies can really go the distance!
