I don't think this is actual canon to MLP… I just did this because it was in my mind for a while.
Sometime after Pinkie Pie earned her cutie mark, she decided to move to Ponyville, with Mr. and Mrs. Cake as her caretakers. There, she made friends with Rarity and Applejack, and even had the chance to meet Pear Butter—Applejack's mom.
