The young Cherry Top was shown to have promise in singing, coming from parents that are talented performers. Following in more of her father's hoofsteps than her younger brother, Raspberry Tart.
Cherry Jubilee saw this talent and asked Applejack if she knew anyone that can teach her daughter. Applejack said she knows a lass and contacted her old friend "Coloratura". Whom had started teaching outside of her performances and recordings. She happily agreed to help a friend of a friend's daughter.

Cherry Top wasn't the slight bit nervous. More so she was excited this was happening. Whereas her brother had more mixed feelings that he kept most to himself.
