Aegis Sundown. A stallion who was once formally a prince named Oshiro Takehiko. He had a natural talent as an Onislayer as well. Due to being a prince, he was destined to lead armies against rival clans and achieve glory.

However, he didn't want this life for himself. He picked up his family katana, and decided to leave his country, abandoning his code. Eventually he managed to move into Equestria, and find a large village/town full of "Sundowns", where he met Vuren Sundown. They married, and after a year or so, they had a foal by the name of Veen. He abandoned his old name and decided to make a new one, taking upon Vuren's clan name.

Unfortunately, it was short lived. Vuren cheated on Aegis 3 years after Veen was born. Aegis found out, and got really, really upset with Vuren. Vuren decided to pack up her bags and leave, despite not even being told to.

Aegis was forced to look after Veen himself, and eventually he met another Sundown in the village, named "Crimson Sundown." From here, they started a proper life for themselves.
