Once Babs Seed finds her special talent in cutting and styling manes, she really begins to flourish. The support from her cousin and company rather help her gain the confidence she needed to start pursuing her dream — open her own salon right in her hometown of Manehatten. But it can be hard to make it in the Big Apple


So, with help from her family and new friends made along the way, Babs (as any Apple) diligently works her way up to finally getting hired at a rather high-end salon academy in upper Manehatten that caters to foals. She has become quite well-known, not only for her rather amazing skills at making even the most unruly mane shine, but once her clients see through her somewhat intimidating demeanor, they find somepony pretty amazing underneath.


Babs is still a tough seed to crack, but within ten minutes or so, the young fillies and colts sitting in that big black chair finally ask about her piercings, her colorful eyeshadow, her really awesome hair. And Babs smiles and answers any questions they ask. Her more nervous customers are comforted by her soothing, gentle conversation. And thus, the little ones will sometimes open up to their new friend about things going on in their life they feel they can't tell anypony else. Babs always listens carefully, and offers a good, strong pat on the back and the encouragement little ponies need sometimes.


Oftentimes, parents will make a mention to the cashier or Babs's instructor on how happy their foal is with their manecut, and their smiles are wonderful to see. Babs knows she will open her own salon one day, but maybe it'd be okay to sit tight for a little while longer…

I very much enjoyed Babs as a character. I am rather dissapointed she has not made in appearance in several seasons, her getting her cutie mark was rather glossed over and we don't even know how she feels about the CMC getting theirs — a huge accomplishment for all four!

I'd imagine Babs would sort of take a role as stylist/friend/rock. Its easy to pour out your heart and soul to the person doing your hair. I don't know why.
