Really wanted to draw some non-pony creatures and I've been dying to draw these two. Dragons are rad so drawing ember (and her dad) was a given. I've also really wanted to draw my own interpretaion of thorax and his adorable bug-deer face. I wasn't one of those people that hated the new changeling designs (even if I wasn't initially a fan of Thorax's color scheme) After seeing what a golden stag beetle looks like it explains the ideas behind the design choices here. Still, he's fun to draw.
Also stay tuned, I'll post my drawings of embers giant dragon dad today too.
