"What if we're the ones being watched?" — Apple Bloom

At first, I didn't plan to put as much detail into the background as I did. In my head, it was going to be pretty plain, until I got to the stage when I was putting lighting and shading on the characters, and I started to wonder what kind of environment they were in. So I played around with some background colors, and one thing led to another.

It's been kind of a while since I've put out a drawing like this, and I was getting worried that I'd fallen out of the groove I'd been in before August.
Regardless, I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I'm looking forward to making more drawings this month, now that I'm not unusually busy, and only have normal life stuff to deal with.

Another CMC adventure for the books!
