Hes a journalist, more or less. Getting into some shenanigans while digging for information civilians of Manehattan want to know about. His boss, Big Cheese, doesnt care for his methods, but notices that McCoy says nothing but the truth, and actually gets his paper a huge following, so he knows the kids on the up and up.
He encounters other characters like Mrs. Grundy, Palooka and Big Six, Rag-a-Muffin, Wet Blanket, Bearcat, and Hotsy-Totsy. 1920s slang for pony names. Gotta love it.
