Unicorn Twilight is still canon

Someone pointed this out to me and he's absolutely right! Think about it. Lauren Faust is the creator of this show, not Hasbro. Hasbro may own the rights, but it was Lauren Faust that made the Friendship is Magic series in the first place. She left at the beginning of Season 2. So everything that happens Post-The Return of Harmony, Season 3, Season 4 and the movies is considered "non-canon".

Whatever Meghan McCarthy does to the show won't matter because, non of it is canon to Friendship is Magic. Unless Hasbro hires Lauren Faust again, all of this is, what I like to call: "inside fanon". Fanon within a company.
Lauren Faust is the main source, everything else around it is third party.

Just because something is official, doesn't always mean it's canon.


So people who think Alicorn Twilight is canon, are wrong. Actually it is Unicorn Twilight that is still canon to this very day. That fact will remain, until the show creator, which is Lauren Faust, makes the changes herself.
