Personality/Background:
Lightning Spark is the eldest child of Rarity and Thunderlane, and he certainly was a hand-full when he was born. Lightning would always fly around the house, knocking things over and wreaking havoc. However, he never meant to do it on purpose. He was actually born with one wing being smaller than the other. Lightning struggled to fly and maintain balance for years until he finally hit puberty, and the other wing finally grew (much to his parents’ relief).

Lightning has a rather loud personality, and whenever he’s in the area, you know it’s him. He can be boisterous and speak at a higher volume than most. Lightning tries his best to ooze confidence and show everyone that he’s a force to be reckoned with. He is also incredibly flirty and charming. For some reason, he gets a kick out of making others blush.


Relationships:
Lightning Spark gets along fairly well with both of his parents, but he is definitely closer to Rarity. Lightning is a huge momma’s boy and always has time to model an outfit for his dear mother. When Spark was little, ponies made fun of his “girly” hair, calling him rather hurtful names. One day, he had had enough and decided to crudely chop off his hair in the school locker room, sobbing the entire time. When Lightning came home, Rarity was horrified to see what he had done and assured him that his appearance was nothing to be ashamed of. She tried her best to fix Lightning’s hair for the time being, and it eventually grew back even more luxurious than before. From then on, Lightning decided to ignore the bullies. In time, he learned to love his mane, and Rarity couldn’t be prouder.

Lightning is good friends and wing pony to Swiftwing. They met as kids and have always gotten along well. Swifty is much quieter and gentler than Spark, and he always manages to keep the wild pegasus in check. Unlike Lightning, Swiftwing isn’t really into the dating scene. However, he does play wingman for Lightning Spark constantly.

- Lightning Spark has dated quite a few ponies, including Scarlett Rose, Angel Dove, and Strawberry Cheesecake.

- His favorite color is secretly pink, but he would tell you that it’s a manly shade of red (whatever that means).
