Leafhelm is my OC who I have been playing in an Equestria pen and paper RPG since 2016. Our game is set in a time about a 1000 years before the events of Friendship is Magic and therefore in days in which the unification of the different pony tribes as well as the rule of Celestia are still relatively new and not yet as thoroughly established as in the series.
Leafhelm is a cartographer (in an era in which many parts of Equestria are not yet settled or mapped) and many of his fellow pegasi would think of him as a bit of an egghead (or „unicorned“ as pegasi in our timesetting would call it).

He is very idealistic (embracing the union of the tribes), enthusiastic, cheerful adventurous, creative, friendly, helpful, caring and responsible. He always tries to do his best and kind of act the hero without putting himself in harms way when there is an alternative.
Leafhelm can also be arrogant, bluntly honest, somewhat paranoid and sarcastic. He tries to be cautious, but can be rather unsettled if lack of information makes decisions a gamble. Leafhelm is hardly ever seen without a helmet which he dug up as a foal in some ruins underneath Cloudsdale, earning his Cutie mark in the process. The Cutie mark consists of said helmet reflected in in droplet of water on a fivepointed leaf.He also usually always carries his saddlebags around which contain the drawing and writing materials for his work (and the journal he keeps writing) as well as the lyre which he bought during our RPG and which he has been practicing ever since.
Mostly covered by his mane on the left side of his face and neck is a tattoo / scar which is a memento to one of our adventures which led us to a tribal culture of ponies in the jungles of southern Equestria.
