A new piece relating yo my story, "My Little Ponys' The Count of Monte Cristo".

In this case, it's on an upcoming, and important plot point which will be a part of Shining Dantes' conversion into The Count. Ever since I watched this animatic — www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ2vPP… — i've had an idea swimming around in my head. I did as much research as I could, and asked around a bit. And I learned of how Emdond seemingly sells himself to The Devil to become an Agent of Providence. All he had to do was worship the prince of darkness, and he'd have his revenge…….I think. I'm still trying to figure this out.

However, I DO know that the Devil's participation in the russian musical has made me want to do something similar. So I have decided to introduce The Devil INTO my story. I won't spoil too much, but basically, much time after his imprisonment, and before he even meets Abbe Ferrera, Edmond Dantes is visited by another individual who only arrives during his darkest hours: when he experiences fear, despair, anger, and hate. An entity who is neither mortal, nor angel. Naturally, Shining begins to think it may be Satan himself. And the entity has no problems letting him think that. After all, he goes by NUMEROUS names throughout the eons. But his main purpose is to continuously visit Dantes when he's at his lowest points. When he's either consumed by his unyielding sorrow, or his fearsome rage. All because he wants him to give in to those dark emotions, and become something great. When the Abbe' enters the picture, the Dark One disappears, since Shining has hope returned to him. That ends when the man dies. And though it's not as frequent, the Dark Onestill appears. Though he isn't ALL here: what is seen is his physical form phasing in, and out of existence. But every time Shining feels negativity, his strength to maintain a presence grows. And when Shining makes his vow of revenge, the Dark One offers him the chance to do so: by offering him the chance to become an Agent of Providence, as he so desires. All he has to do is complete his mission, and destroy the betrayers who ruined him.

Yet his TRUE price is not yet spoken. Which can only mean he has other plans for his "dear count". But what could said plans be? And what will they mean for the rest of the world if he gets what he wants?
