We Three Kings has always been my favorite Christmas carol — ever since I first watched the Claymation Christmas Special.
Last Christmas, with Rainbow Rocks still fresh in my mind, I wanted to draw the Dazzlings performing this song — costumes and all. Unfortunately, I didn't finish it in time.
This year, I gave it another shot — and actually got past the pencil draft! Due to time constraints, I decided to color this the old fashioned way with my Prismacolor pencils.
All they need now are a trio of doo wop-singing camels…
Adagio = Melchior / Gold
Aria = Caspar / Frankincense
Sonata = Balthazar / Myrrh
