Figured a holiday themed piece was in order.

Pen Shell decided to take Mulberry Puff into the harbor as the onset of Hearth's Warming Eve was upon the ponies there. Having spent most of their time on the beach or in Pen's shack living peaceful lives, it became apparent that Mulberry needed to learn about the reason for the festivities which could be heard from their home. Puff gandered in awe at the colorful lights and wreaths decorating the otherwise dull shipping port they usually only visited to sell the sea shell jewelry her mother made. It was then that the story that allowed Equestria to become a reality needed to be told, but for the little siren whose gem had surprisingly crowned out of her chest it would be explained at a locale theater that was soon to put on the show.

While other foals ran about carrying gifts or presents, the two took the scenic route for maximum fun. For Pen Shell it would be her first shared Hearth's Warming she enjoyed in years, but fate would have it that it might be her last one.
