I… really don't have much of an explanation for this. It's about as non-canon as it gets. I made smol Sunset Shimmer and was finally able to get Tempest's parts imported (Especially that stupid broken horn I can't tell you how long I spent trying to make a substitute), stuck them together, loaded up some cool ships, and here we are.

Sunset has found a new role model. Whether by chance, accident, kidnapping, or a very unique (but educational!) field trip, our little future repentant megalomaniac has ended up in the surprisingly welcoming hands of the Storm King's top lieutenant, and has made herself right at home. Tempest has taken to her new role swimmingly, giving Sunset a very detailed history of our Lord and King's many feats of slaughtering innocent villagers. Inspiring.

Even bad guys shouldn't skip breakfast. Watch that muffin, Tempest.
