Page 141 — Time Poorly Spent
When the party splits and the DM has to direct events that some of the players can't be a part of, there's a choice to be made. You can let the other players watch, or you can make them wait in another room while you play it out behind closed doors.
Part of the reason you're advised to Never Split the Party &tm; is so that this choice doesn't come up very often.
