Guest Author's Note: "And there you have it. Whether or not this is canon is up to NS, who has said he is avoiding Discord and Princess Twilight for a while so this may be long forgotten by the time Discord appears in non-guest strips. But if the original campaign had counted on Celestia and Luna (Nightmare or otherwise) eventually being incapacitated at the same time, Discord could well have been planned as a Bigger Bad. Fortunately, if you want chaos, you can just let PCs be PCs.

"Has anyone else run into such a thing in actual campaigns, where the DM only needed to let PCs be PCs to drive the main plot along, with little need for planning beyond the next session or two for dozens of sessions in a row? I know some of my best campaigns, as player and as DM, were where the players and player characters were set up by the DM to do this."

Pinkie Pie: My turn my turn! I've been gorging on all this chocolate so by now I'm on a sugar high! I just have one question.
Rarity: Do we need to brace for the shockwave?
Rainbow Dash: What is the airspeed velocity of an African swallow?
Fluttershy: Do you have enough stomachache medicine?
Applejack: Do you have room for dessert?
Twilight Sparkle: She's Pinkie Pie. I wouldn't worry about that.
Pinkie Pie: No! My question is, how fast can I eat the cloud?
DM: The… whole cloud.
Pinkie Pie: Yes!
Fluttershy: Slower than you can once I lead the forest animals to help out.
Pinkie Pie: Aww…
Rarity: I borrow part of it to stick the popcorn together and sweep up into one giant ball, for ease of disposal.
DM: Alright, alright. Soon the cloud is vanquished, and peace of a sort returns to the farm.
Twilight Sparkle: Right. Not trying that again.
Applejack: Cheer up. You had a good idea. Just… it went a little far, you know?
Pinkie Pie: Yeah! No one wants to face omnipotent squirrels. Right?
DM: That was just that one time!
Twilight Sparkle: So now that it's over, is it safe ask how it could have gone worse?
Rainbow Dash: Err…
DM: Sure. After all… you didn't (fully) reawaken the spirit of chaos that Luna and Celestia saved the world from.
