Page 946 — Everything Might Go
Up until this point, Applejack's business had been abstracted by the DM into a basic income every session, so that's how the nitty-gritty of the item prices can catch her off guard. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Transcript:DM: The birds are a little shy around strangers, so you might need to find the caretaker first and figure out how to approach them.
Fluttershy: Oh, sure! Okay. I thought so.
DM: Meanwhile, Applejack…
Applejack: Wut?
DM: Almost as soon as your cart is set up, a Wonderbolt walks by and asks to purchase one of your big apple pies.
Applejack: Alrighty then. What would be a fair price?
DM: 2 gold.
Applejack: Pardon? Ah mean, I guess so… Food's always been cheap in D&D, right?
DM: Hey, it's a start to a night of sales!
Applejack: Great. Another two thousand o' those and Ah can buy somethin' Ah can actually use.
