Guest Author’s Note: “The first double page! And along with that first, we get the first official introduction to the alternate versions of the main cast! This was one of the kicking off points of the original comic idea. ‘What are the Twilight Zone alternate reality versions of the Mane Six like?’ The overall idea has changed a bit since then, but I kept some of the characteristics of the Alt Six.
If you aren’t familiar with the video Fluttershy is referencing, it’s a reference to The Animated Spellbook, the work of one Zee Bashew on YouTube.
The specific video, along with quite a few others of his, have been temporarily set to private because of recent YouTube changes, but what’s still available is highly worth a watch.
Story Time Prompt: Ever find a build or character concept outside of your normal games that you really wanted to try out? If you did, how did it go?”

Transcript:
Twilight Sparkle: I guess our characters should introduce themselves! “Sorry you had to deal with that. Are you okay?”
FS: I’m fine.
Twilight Sparkle: “…good! I’m Twilight Sparkle. And you are?”
FS: I picked Fluttershy’s sheet.
Twilight Sparkle: …Anything else? Anything I should know about her?
FS: My alignment is Good…My class is Druid…and-
Twilight Sparkle: Let me stop you there. Why did you pick Fluttershy?
FS: I wanted to have an army of animals to swarm my enemies. I saw a fun Youtube video about it, and it seemed like a neat idea. It was technically about 5th edition, so I’ve been looking through the 4th edition rulebooks to see if there’s any way for the mechanics to work and the systems are really fascinating.
Twilight Sparkle: …Huh.
Twilight Sparkle: So, what did you take that got that bully so upset?
FS: I didn’t take anything.
MD: No, but you did find something earlier that day!
FS: I did?
MD: Yes. The Element of Harmony. The crown thingy. The plot hook for the game. The one I pointed out earlier.
FS: How would I have found it?
MD: Um, what about-
Twilight Sparkle: What could Fluttershy have been doing to put her near the school at the beginning of the day?
FS: She was handing out fliers for the local animal shelter?
Twilight Sparkle: Sounds right for your character! Now say it like it isn’t a question.
FS: …She was handing out flyers for the local animal shelter.
MD: It’s finally happening!
