Long before Twilight ascended, Twilight and Celestia had a very close student-teacher relationship, one Celestia would describe as platonic. Twilight however was infatuated with Celestia. She hung onto the Queen’s every word and idolized her beyond all else. Celestia found this cute but rebutted Twi’s advances. Back in the good ol’ days then-unicorn Twilight shadowed Celestia, taking extensive mental and physical notes of her every word and action. Throughout her adventures with the Element Bearers she kept in close contact with Celestia through letters and would often visit for Tea Parties. Twilight enjoyed staying the night, waking up early, and talking with Celestia until it was time to raise the sun.
