I actually did do Inktober in October, however I didn't have time to upload it until… two months later…

For each day I made a small doodle and fit multiple on a page to make it more manageable. Nonetheless, I feel like I improved over the course despite some at the end being a bit more rushed.

It was all drawn traditionally, I used ballpoint pens to sketch and various liners as well as some white gel pens later on to finalise the drawings.

Let's cut to the chase and see how I met the prompts each day!

1) Swift: Cherry kicks off the Inktober season with a nice little banner. I will be honest and say it looked better before I outlined it, as I tried to use a brush liner that I later discovered was rather damaged and created an unpleasant effect. The prompt inspired the smooth flowing of her tail.
2) Divided: Daybreaker VS Nightmare Moon. I was quite happy with how this one came out.
3) Poison: Zecora. I tried my best with that hand and arm, the proportions do seem a tiny bit iffy but overall I feel it looks alright.
4) Underwater: Queen Novo. Seapony. The fins might have been a bit misplaced, she had only been recently introduced and I had a poor reference. I tried to be more creative with the shading, though. Did it pay off?
5) Long: Discord. I thought about his "shapeshifting" and how he could look long and stretchy, looping around in a snake-like fashion. Again the arms and hands got me a bit, but hopefully you can see the effort.
6) Sword: Rainbow and Fluttershy. I was inspired by the Crystal Empire jousting scene, but drew humans as I knew that's where I need more practice. Once you know the helmet is there to cover Fluttershy's hand (which I made a mistake in inking so had to block out) it really sticks out like a sore thumb but it was either that or try to somehow blank it out with white ink or correction fluid. I feel that otherwise, Flutter's proportions are better than RD's. I really should've used a ruler on that sword, especially considering it's the centerpiece of the work. Whoops!

Stay tuned for the next page and feel free to give constructive criticism!
