Sometimes the yellow alpaca was annoying to her. That excitement and affection while infectious was exhausting and somewhat hazardous; and if Applejack tried to indulge her, her personal energy reserves would be exhausted long before Paprika even broke a sweat. And yet she had never avoided her entirely, because while interactions with her were tiresome, Paprika seemed to understand when a pony was in no condition to play. Thus there is more than one way to love a creature, and Applejack absolutely didn't mind the more serene moments with her.
