Backstory: When Moon Heart was little, she was always curious about the night sky, the moon, and stars, most likely because the story of The Mare on The Moon fascinated her. In addition, she would often stay up late to watch the stars. One day, she used her magic to form a constellation, which correlated with the moon, and she eventually earned her cutie mark for it.

At one point during Moon Heart's childhood, she became friends with a devil pony named Kiki. They started off as rivals first, then friends, until one day, Kiki's younger brothers accidentally started a fire that burned down Moon Heart's library when Moon Heart wasn't around. When Moon Heart returned to find the damage, she blamed Kiki for it, ending their friendship. Moon Heart moved to Ponyville after the incident.

Sometime during her stay in Ponyville, Moon Heart struggled to get adjusted to living there. She frequently had nightmares about the fire, and would freak out every time she saw a fire. She was eventually diagnosed with PTSD as a result of her pyrophobia causing distress to her new life. To cope with this, Moon Heart would listen to Charming Rocker's music whenever she was out of therapy. Moon Heart fell in love with his music to the point where she had a desire to meet him in person. She finally met him for the first time at a concert in Ponyville, though they started out as friends first. On some occasions, Moon Heart would offer to help Rocker with the songwriting. Until one day, Charming Rocker was stressed out from all the work he had to put up with during his tour, that he lashed out at Moon Heart, who was only trying to help him. Moon Heart, upset about Rocker's brash behavior towards her, thought that he couldn't be trusted, until later, when Rocker wrote a song that expressed his true romantic feelings towards her. In return, Moon Heart shared her first kiss with him, and since then, they've lived together as an unmarried couple, although Moon Heart hopes that she and Rocker get married someday.

Despite her pyrophobia, Moon Heart made a discovery about her magic: She secretly has the ability to control fire. Whenever Moon Heart was near a fire, she realized that she was unharmed by it, and she could use her magic to put it out without water or anything of that sort. Although Moon Heart doesn't want to be a firefighter, she's thankful for the fact that her pyrophobia has given her this magical advantage.

I'm quite pleased with her new and current design, hopefully I'll be able to draw her more in the future. When I first created her back in 2016, I originally wanted to make an OC that was inspired by Elton John, only to be more elegant and less extravagant than him. However, I ended up creating her as an astrologist instead of a musician, mostly due to the fact that I was a little too scared to look Elton John up, and as it turns out, it was her boyfriend Charming Rocker that was inspired by him instead.

I hope Rocky is in love with Moon Heart's new look. Love
