1. Honey has had their hat for most of their life. They hated it when they first got it, but threw a tantrum whenever it was taken off, so it stayed on.

2. Applejack struggles to understand her kid. They're pretty emotionally distant, and don't show much interest in being otherwise. Eventually, the struggle brews to the surface, and Honey is sent to the school of friendship, cause goddamn, kid, show some sort of emotional attachment.

3. They judge.
