i still have so many feelings about this lore that i made up in my head for this fictional show about horses, man

so here's a 'concept' piece of twi exploring celestia and luna's old castle!
i imagine statues of Celestia and Luna (small carved statuettes for common homes) were placed to the sides of doorways before the banishment, partially out of respect for the sisters but many believed they could protect them from spirits like the windigos or sirens.
these were the biggest statues of the two, right outside the castle door. most of them were taken down after the banishment, but many homes, especially in unicorn towns, still have two small carved empresses sitting next to their doorframes
