For me, Discord, he was a little unfriendly character … But as the series went on I found him sympathetic.
It was when I looked for the 2nd or 3rd time that I saw something that made me appreciate the person better.

But the worst thing I noticed is in a dialogue of I do not remember her character (Celestia from memory): "Harmony attracts chaos, and chaos attracts harmony."
And there I asked myself the question … if Discord appeared before or at the same time as the Tree of Harmony …
What was he thinking?
What question was he asking himself?
Was he always mean from then on? (if you answered yes directly, re-watched the episode "Keep calm and Flutter on" on the words he said while he surrendered)
What did he think of his powers?
Has he tried to make friends with this before (and if so why we hate him)?
and the bigger question, as it broke the 4th wall … does it really belong to Equestria?

These are just food for thought, I'm not really expecting an answer, it's just questions to dig a little into MLP's lore. Everyone is free to say what they want as long as it respects what others think!
