Description:

Clarissa is born to two unicorn parents, and has a cozy, happy lifestyle growing up in Equestria. She was born as a unicorn, and had a particularly stronger sense of magic and loved to learn. Her magic was not that powerful, mind you, just a bit above the average unicorn. Nothing major, but it was noticeable

Growing up, Clarissa came to know of a Draconequus by the name of Dawning Renaissance. The odd creature popped up many times in her life and would disappear without a trace, and she never stayed long when she showed up. Clarissa became wary of Dawning after a few meetings, she felt the creature was nosey and off putting. Dawning always mentioned under her breath that “she’s not quite there yet”. The Unicorn never understood what this meant.

When she was young, Clarissa Clarity was always fascinated with the two Alicorns that ruled her homeland; Princess Celestia, raiser of the sun and bringer of day, and Princess Luna, raiser of the moon and bringer of night. The ideas of Alicorns always brought a look of wonder into her eyes, and she would always beg her mother to bring her to the Summer Sun Celebration so she could get a glimpse of Celestia raising the sun. Their gorgeous wings, their elegant horns…. she longed to be one. Something nagged at her about them, and she did as much research about the species as she could…. only to come up short. Alicorns were so few and far between, there was practically no information on them. It devastated her, and with a heavy heart, she could only watch from afar and gather any notes she could from the Summer Sun Celebrations she attended when she could.

Over the years, her interest for Alicorns faded, but it never smoldered out completely.

Clarissa actually grew up without a Cutie Mark. She felt she didn’t fit with anything she enjoyed doing. She had a knack for gardening, as she was taught by a childhood friend (An Earth Pony) of her’s to keep a plant alive. Though, she didn’t feel she had a talent for it. Sure, they were kept alive, but it’s not like she grew an oversized, lush garden like other ponies. Her magic was strong, but it wasn’t much stronger than the average Unicorn. A bit, yes, but not Starlight or Twilight strong. Naturally, this caused a bit of stress in her life, being a Blank Flank for so long. Clarissa felt out of place, she didn’t know where she belonged.
