Oh boy… now for a Q&A time for this Mario & Luigi crossover.
Q1: Do you watch MLP and like it?
A: I’ll admit and to be honest here, I only watched a couple of episodes of seasons 1-6 of the show. For the part if I like MLP, not really since it’s not my cup of tea, but the characters in the show do have friendship in it.
Q2: Do you know about MLP?
A: The only time was in the early-mid 2010s when the MLP fandom skyrocketed during the FiM era. My brother used to watch FiM until he moved on to watching Anime. Back then, I wasn't a font for MLP back then as it’s audience is aimed for girls.
Q3: Did you know that FiM ended in late 2019?
A: Didn’t know about it until summer or 2021, I thought it’d still air more episodes like Spongebob, until they had a new MLP series that’s in 3D coming to Netflix. It’s good to see FiM to reach its conclusion.
Q4: Then why did you draw a Mario crossover with MLP, even if it was done before by other artists/users?
A: This was requested by my cousin who’s a big MLP fan and wishes to remain anonymous.. She wanted me to draw it as the Mario & Luigi box art as they saw those crossovers with COD Zombies, Tamagotchi, LBP, etc. She contacted me to do the twist like I did with the other Mario & Luigi crossovers since they know it’s done before, but with my Mario & Luigi crossover ideas of it’s Japanese box art, she wanted me to throw in the mix between the MLP cast and Mario characters since she were impressed on those Mario & Luigi crossovers that I usually mash together, while respecting the source material. Although, she didn’t know what the MLP villain should be so she asked me to put one of the Mario villains here.
Now besides the Q&A part, I know MLP thanks to my brother as he used to watch it in the early 2010s (before he moved on to Anime), but I have to admit, the main characters and the show itself is charmful and decent but the fandom… probably too questionable if that’s the case. Although, I respect fans who love MLP a lot, since like I said, MLP isn’t my cup of tea, but the show and the characters have charm for those who are a fan of MLP.
Btw, I have nothing to say about the plot for “Mario & Luigi: Equestria of Magic”, so you can imagine the story in the comments if you want.
