Sockpuppet from Fimfiction shared some of his photography recently, including some very moody dawn shots of marshlands cloaked in heavy fog. It was easy to take some inspiration from them for the above shot.
I've always liked anything that plays with the special adversarial relationship between Chrysalis and the Royal Family of the Crystal Empire. It's a shame that the show never really focused on it again, but luckily tons of fan content did, showing every possible kind of relationship between them all.
