Honestly I think the mantis shrimp is intended. Pasu is a biologist who likes drawing inspiration from unique animals, though I haven't asked her about her specific influences here. She's definitely a siren based on Pasu and my ideas for sirens in this universe, but is she still a changeling or some shape-shifting sub-species of siren? I'm unsure about that!

She almost looks shrimp like, kinda like a prawn or a mantis shrimp. I'm not entirely sure if that's exactly what the artist was aiming for, but it arguably looks rad as hell

Of note, I do not know what Chrysalis is tbh. She clearly has a changeling vibe, but I will have to figure out with Pasu how much of her situation is different.
