Happy Nightmare Night!


I made this last year and never shared it since I didn't have this account at the time. Better late than never! Despite a year passing, I remember going through a process of deciding everyone's costumes

I knew I wanted to do a couple's costume for Trixie and Glimmy, since I was working at Spirit Halloween at the time and saw a lot of Wednesday costumes I gravitated towards Morticia and Gomez.

Celestia and Luna are the obvious cosplay of their evil selves. Sunset's wearing a simplified and ponified version of her vampire costume and commentating on her friends' PDA with a rainbow lollipop. Basically she's calling them gay—

I've noticed with the Mane Six that Rarity likes to wear something glamorous, Rainbow wears uniforms (Shadowbolt, astronaut), Pinkie wears something wacky (chicken, skater), Twilight is historical (Star Swirl, gladiator), Spike wears something related to monsters/dragons, Fluttershy doesn't wear anything except tame stuff, and Applejack's costumes all reference The Wizard of Oz (scarecrow, lion)

So here's what I went with:

Rarity — Her scrapped costume from Luna Eclipsed
Twilight — Midnight Sparkle (I just thought it'd be cool for her to match with the princesses)
Pinkie — Her piñata costume from Sparkle's Seven
Rainbow — Her Batpony uniform in the Lunaverse
Fluttershy — A nature-y outfit she turned into a Breezie/fairy costume
Applejack — Dorothy Gale
Spike — Godzilla hoodie
