Back when Cozy was first released and everyone thought that whole nocturna thing was just some weird damage to her wings and her cravings for fruit juice over fruit was just a weird preference she had.

Flurry only had vague memories of the times when Cozy was a threat and couldn't help but be fascinated by her, much to everyone's fear and chagrin. Twilight saw Cozy's talent for manipulating others first hand and pleaded for Cadance and Shining to keep the two separated during Cozy's period of remediation in the Empire.

Yeah, that went super well for them.
