I honestly don't get why so many fans white knight Filthy Rich. Sure, he disciplined Diamond Tiara in Family Appreciation Day — but aside from that one episode and taking Diamond Tiara to the Foal and Filly Fair in another episode, he's never done much in the way of parenting. Don't you think Diamond Tiara would be a little better behaved if Rich was the father his defenders say he is? I am not saying that Rich is a bad pony; I am saying he's got serious failings as a parent that are evident in the ill-behavior of his daughter. After all, how a child acts tends to reflect a person's abilities as a parent.
