In NeoGAF's MLP community thread, we decided to vote on episodes for a recommended episode guide, based on those created for Star Wars: Clone Wars and other shows. After tallying up votes, we then modified the results to get better character coverage, to get at least one episode for each of the Mane Six each season (besides 1 and 3). This resulted in a total of 63 episodes that were recommended, or 7/13 of the series. While things have slowed down in terms of new people joining the fandom, this will hopefully be useful for anyone that's starting out but is overwhelmed by the number of episodes.
