After anihilating all the gangs terrorizing their hometown, the 3rd Street Saints became not only local heroes, but big celebrities. All that praise and attention caused the Saints to grow cocky, arrogant and much worse than all the gangs they fought combined, and some people are not pleased with it. Enters the Syndicate, an alliance between well-known criminal factions lead by centuries old Sirens that see the Saints as bad for business and wish to see them either on their knees or out of the way. Forever!
Despite not being the leader of the Syndicate, Aria Blaze's gang, the Morningstar, is the most influential one due to their business being the most profiitable one — the Luchadores cash in on entertainment, the Deckers on cybercrime and the Morningstar on arms dealing, human trafficking and prostitution. At first she tried to reason with the Saints, asking for 66% of their monthly gross revenue and, in exchange, they would leave them be. The Saints, of course, refused and retalited violently. Aria's choice of way to deal the Saints is by going at war with them, taking over their city and anihilating them in the process.
